On April 14th, Ron (Country) Watkins was found by his son, Tom Watkins, unconscious and unresponsive in his house around 1630 hrs. After transport by Damascus M713 to Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, it was discovered that he had experienced an extended hypoglycemic event that has left him with acute brain damage, affecting his speech and the ability to move his right side.
He was moved to Lorien Mt Airy on 5 /28, but unfortunately, had to be taken to Lifebridge Carroll County Hospital on 5/30. He is being transferred back to Lorien Mt Airy on 6/19/25.
Visitors are welcome. On good days he can recognize folks, and nod his head yes or no. He likes to listen, and sometimes he can manage a few words if he tries hard.
